SEC Tournament - Tennesee over Arkansas

Nothing is easy for this team.

Up 16 and seemingly rolling to the quarterfinals, the Vols seemed to tighten up offensively and couldn't get a stop on defense. Rotnei (Rotnei?) Clarke looked like he couldn't miss and without Brian Williams on the floor, the Vols looked tender in the middle.

Then - the play of the game. Brian Williams, a senior, scores over Clarke with only one good eye (after getting poked pretty good about 5 minutes earlier) to break the tie and advance the Vols.

The post play was the key for Tennessee. Tobias Harris was a beast in the 1st half, then Williams and Steven Pearl anchored the Vols in the 2nd. Even Kenny Hall played better in the post.

No minutes for Maymon last night - probably had something to do with Williams' return and Maymon looking for his own show a little too much.

Where was Hopson last night? The story of his career - great one night, gone the next.

Florida tonight - the Vols historically have played well against Billy Donovan and against the pick & roll. Our bigs are very good at hedging and helping on the roll. Hopson also usually does a good job on Parsons. The last meeting saw Tennessee try to keep Florida on one side of the floor - we'll see if that happens again tonight.
