Wolverines Destroy Vols

(In Baltimore for a wedding, so I'm watching and blogging from a hotel room).

Quick reaction to the game - with the exception of Harris's opening onslaught, this was one of the worst performances of the Bruce Pearl era. It reminded me of the Jerry Green era teams.

Bad shooting. Bad decision-making. Bad rebounding. Bad defense. Bad coaching. No hustle or heart.

Scotty Hopson?

Cameron Tatum?

Can anybody shoot the ball?

Or get a rebound?

Or avoid a charge?

If this is the end of the Bruce Pearl era, it is a sad, pathetic ending. And if Hopson and Harris both leave early for the NBA, there is nothing exciting coming back next year. Even with Pearl, this looks like an NIT team.

And now Mike Hamilton has opened himself up to all kinds of second-guessing with the timing of his radio interview on Thursday. Would anyone be surprised if Pearl and Hamilton are gone within the week?

Lousy day to be a Vol. And I'm afraid it is only about to get worse.
